BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND - Pop Art, Part II! This time we will delve into the famous U.K. artist, Sir Peter Blake, and we will revisit our favorite pop artist, Romero Britto. *All supplies are included*Week 1 and 2: Sir Peter Blake was made famous by designing the cover of The Beatles’ Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band. He used ordinary, every day objects and transformed them into extraordinary masterpieces, and so will your artist-in-training! Art history and a new Blake-inspired pop art work will be created July 10th and July 17th (the first two weeks of the course)
Week 3 and 4: Romero Britto, based in Miami, is famous around the globe for his work with Disney. He works with many media, and so will your youth. The following 2 Wednesdays in July will be POPPIN’! (July 24 and July 31)
- Focus is on learning a particular style of art through different mediums, making friends, and using natural creativity through color and design selections
- All work will be ready to go with the child after each class
- Pop-Artists: Sir Peter Blake, Romero Britto -Perfect for ages 7-14, give or take
For only $90/month your artist-in-training will learn the history of pop art from the U.K., Brazil, and the USA. Every week your child will come home with their own pop-art masterpiece. Acrylics, clay, and mixed media will be used.
