Before we were the Wellington County Museum and Archives, we were the House of Industry and Refuge, also known as the Poor House. Join us for a guided tour and discover the stories and lives of the people that worked and lived here from 1877 - 1946. How was someone admitted to the Poor House? What happened when you arrived? How was the House managed and how were the Poor House inmates looked after?
Come learn the answers to these questions and more! Tours are held Saturdays through July and August from 1:00 - 2:00 pm.
Cost is $5 per person or $10 for a family.
