Pondělí 18:00Funky studentská kapela Pondělí 18:00, sedmičlenná parta kamarádů, dlouholetých (relativně) mladých hudebníků a spoluhráčů z celé ČR, která si zakládá na kvalitní, čistě instrumentální tvorbě, o kterou se stará čtyřčlenná dechová sekce a skvěle šlapající rytmika. Kapela vznikla díky řadě náhodných potkání v hospodách (v případě trumpetisty Adama a kytaristy Petra) či zkušebnách (v případě bubeníka Tomáše) zhruba před dvěma lety. Prvotní nápad se již ale zrodil v hlavě saxofonisty Jirky a trombonisty Lukáše na jejich maturitním plese před pěti lety, kde vznikla první věc. Ostatní členové jsou již jejich staří známí ze ZUŠky, jedná se basáka Matěje a saxofonistu Kryštofa. V našem repertoáru se nachází jak vlastní tvorba, tak naše originální aranže známých songů. Zřetelně poznáte inspiraci od americké kapely Lucku Chops či německé kapely Meute. Pokud oceníš tlaky dechů, krásně plynoucí energii a kvalitní rytmickou hudbu, tak určitě doraž a přijď si s náma užít příjemný večer plný skvělé hudby.

The Onion Rings
Založili v roce 2022 čtyři kamarádi ze Strahova vlastně náhodou v hospodě (kde jinde, než na Strahově). Na otázku orchestrového trumpetisty Adama Pospíšila a baskytaristy Adama Šulce, zda chce Jirka Šebek hrát na kytaru a zpívat v jejich kapele, odpověděl Jirka „ne“, načež zaznělo slovo „nedělej vola“ a Jirkova odpověď se změnila v kladnou. Přidal se k nim bubeník Dominik Novák, který nakonec svůj post přenechal Tomášovi Hořenínovi, a po 2 letech hraní převzatých písní začali The Onion Rings psát vlastní písně.
Když smícháte oblíbené žánry členů, mezi které patří death metal, dechovka, klasická hudba, rock and roll a indie, vznikne samozřejmě punk, ale v tomto případě obohacený trumpetou, protože dvě kytary má kde kdo. Tento mix žánrů členové nazývají „trubkenroll“. Naše písničky jsou inspirovány zejména 2000s pop-punkovou scénou.

Funky student band Pondelí 18:00, a seven-member group of friends, long-time (relatively) young musicians and teammates from all over the Czech Republic, which bases itself on high-quality, purely instrumental work, which is taken care of by a four-member brass section and a great rhythm section. The band was formed thanks to a series of chance encounters in pubs (in the case of trumpeter Adam and guitarist Petr) or rehearsal rooms (in the case of drummer Tomáš) about two years ago. However, the initial idea was born in the heads of saxophonist Jirka and trombonist Lukáš at their graduation ball five years ago, where the first thing was created. The other members are already their old acquaintances from the ZUŠka, they are bassist Matěj and saxophonist Kryštof. Our repertoire includes both our own work and our original arrangements of well-known songs. You can clearly recognize the inspiration from the American band Lucka Chops or the German band Meute. If you appreciate breath pressure, beautifully flowing energy, and quality rhythmic music, then definitely come and enjoy a pleasant evening full of great music with us.

The Onion Rings
Founded in 2022 by four friends from Strahov, actually by chance, in a pub (where else but Strahov). When asked by orchestral trumpeter Adam Pospíšil and bassist Adam Šulc whether Jirka Šebek wanted to play guitar and sing in their band, Jirka answered “no”, after which the word “don’t be a fool” was heard and Jirka’s answer changed to positive. They were joined by drummer Dominik Novák, who eventually left his post to Tomáš Hořenín, and after 2 years of playing cover songs, The Onion Rings started writing their own songs.
When you mix the members’ favorite genres, which include death metal, brass band, classical music, rock and roll and indie, you get punk, of course, but in this case enriched with a trumpet, because everyone has two guitars. The members call this mix of genres “trubkenroll”. Our songs are inspired mainly by the 2000s pop-punk scene.
