Act I delves into the journey from dating to love and marriage, while Act II explores the ups and downs of in-laws, newborns, family trips, and the unique approach to dating of the older generation. The 2018 version includes two new songs, revised lyrics, and updated dialogue to reflect modern dating experiences.

"I Do! I Do!" is a musical with a book and lyrics by Tom Jones and music by Harvey Schmidt. It is based on the Jan de Hartog play "The Fourposter." The story revolves around the ups and downs of Agnes and Michael's marriage over 50 years, from 1895 to 1945. The entire story takes place in their bedroom, centered around a large fourposter bed.
