It's workshop time!
Over the course of 3 hours, you'll learn how to create earrings in geometric patterns using the 'cane' method. Pick them up or have them posted to you around 2 weeks later when they're cooked, varnished and assembled!
Geometric patterns, you say?
Our first workshop on stripes and checks went down a treat so I’ve decided to build on that theme and give you even more creative possibilities! You can stick with the classic stripes and checks, or feel free to experiment with new patterns using different shapes and designs. The choice is yours!
Where? Wiper and True Barrel Store, 2-8 York St, St Werburgh's, Bristol BS2 9XT
When? 4th December
Time? 6-9pm
What to expect:
• Choose or mix your preferred colours.
• Create your pattern.
• Cut out your earrings using either the cutters provided or any shape by hand with a scalpel.
• Leave up to 2 pairs of earrings with myself to be cooked, varnished and assembled.
• Collect from Stokes Croft (around 2 weeks after) or pay to have them posted to you. You will be contacted when they're ready.
The reason I will be taking your creations home with me is to cook them so that they harden. I will then be varnishing them with resin for a super shiny finish and assemble them so that they can be worn.
Please bring a container for any extra earrings you have created or any scrap clay you want to bring home and experiment with!
All equipment is provided and no previous skills are required.
Group size is up to 8 people.
