Polyester Plate Lithography

This course offers a beginner friendly alternative to traditional stone and metal plate lithography. Polyester plates are light, flexible, semi-transparent and offer a high quality printed image. From drawing to printed edition, the process flows with minimal use of chemicals throughout. Course participants will use permanent markers, biros and a homemade toning solution to create their drawings directly on the plate. Digital options with laser jet printers will also be demonstrated, opening the door to unique digital-handmade possibilities. Participants finish the course having produced a series of prints.
Cork Printmakers reserves the right to cancel any course with insufficient enrolment, and when this occurs any and all prepaid fees will be refunded. Cork Printmakers does not refund fees paid by participants who subsequently cancel their place in a course.
