8th March sees Polly Paulusma return to Le Pub with special guest Jon Thorne!Since her debut ‘Scissors In My Pocket’ in 2004, Polly Paulusma has released five studio albums and five sibling and alterno-albums with Bjork’s label One Little Independent, all straddling the acoustic, singer-songwriter, jazz-inflected indie-folk and trad folk genres.
She has supported Bob Dylan, Jamie Cullum, Coldplay, Marianne Faithfull, The Divine Comedy and a host of other notable artists in her 21-year career, she’s toured the USA and Europe as well as the UK, and played Glastonbury, T in the Park and V Festival among many others.
Polly also plays with Jon Thorne who plays with an upright bass. The musical connection between Paulusma and Thorne is something to behold; together they swoop and glide through songs from all of Paulusma’s albums, the latest of which Thorne has also recorded with Paulusma. Combining bawdy humour and anecdotes with extraordinary songs that touch on love, loss, grief and philsophical enquiry, Paulusma and Thorne lead their audiences on a journey of laughter and tears.
