*Content warning: Domestic violence and violence against women*Family and partner violence has long been a major issue in Australia. It occurs across all socioeconomic and geographic groups, but predominately impacts women and children, with estimates of 59 women being killed so far this year. In 2022, the Government presented the National Plan to End Violence against Women and Children across four domains - prevention, early intervention, response, recovery and healing. This was a start, but many feel the underlying causes are yet to be addressed, with the topic regularly being requested for Politics in the Pub.
The Fremantle Network invite you to the Local Hotel on Tuesday October 8 to discuss this important topic.
