How do we navigate our current societal tensions? How do we re-learn how to disagree without disavowing people? What does it mean to have healthy boundaries in conversations with people with whom we disagree? No matter who wins on November 5, what do we do November 6? How are the people of God called to speak into this national tumult to model healthy conversation and hope for the future rooted not in a national identity but in faith?
We are glad you asked! Join the dialog as a panel featuring Austin Seminary faculty members engages in conversation with each other and audience members to model helpful discussions around politics and faith. This event is for anyone desiring practical tools for navigating the intersection of faith and current events, and a better way to have difficult conversations.
Our Panelists:
- Rev. Dr. Sarah Allen, Associate Dean of Ministerial Formation and Advanced Studies
- Rev. Patricia Bonilla, Instructor in Christian Education
- Dr. Rodney Caruthers, Assistant Professor of New Testament
- Dr. Ángel J. Gallardo, Assistant Professor of Church History
- Rev. Dr. Crystal Silva-McCormick, Visiting Instructor in Evangelism and Missions
