Music has always been a tool of resistance, hope, and solidarity. Join us for Songs for Struggle, an evening of political songs that have accompanied labor and social movements across the world.🎸 Corey Dolgon – a longtime labor activist, community organizer, and sociology professor – brings history and theory to life through his unique "singing lectures." For nearly 30 years, he has used folk songs to build solidarity on the picket line and engage students in the classrooms.
🔹 What to expect?
Corey will perform sets of political music (mostly from the U.S.), with space in between for others to share their own songs. Do you have a song connected to political struggle that you’d like to share? Bring it along! Collective singing is more than music – it’s a force that unites and mobilizes.
✊ Come listen, sing, and share the music that has shaped movements!
We will be in the back room :)
