ABOUT Gaston
In the early 2010s, he began his journey in Tango by studying in Avellaneda. Six years later, he decided to devote his life to Tango.
He first danced in the show at Plaza Dorrego in San Telmo, later performed in the renowned Tango show at Café Tortoni, and also in Caminito—where he danced up to 120 tangos per day.
His complete devotion to Tango and Tango dance led him to study deeply its roots, his teachers, and through them, the teachers of his teachers.
A great recognition came to his life in 2022, when he received a call from none other than Kela Linares (the partner of Héctor “Pajaro,” together forming the legendary couple “Pajarito y Kela”) to perform an exhibition at the milonga “Gente Amiga” that year.
(Kela: “After my husband passed away, I never performed again… until now, with you.”)
PS: (It was an honor for me to have danced with the teacher of my teachers.)
My teachers taught me that when we connect with the roots, everything becomes more genuine and real. If we don’t connect with the roots, it is not wrong, but… something gets lost, and it ends up becoming just a trend.
Today, Gastón has three class groups in different areas of Buenos Aires and plans to expand even further. His goal is to share the culture of Tango with the entire world.
