The station building offers a vivid glimpse into how law and order were carried out in earlier decades.
As you move through the station, carefully arranged props and displays bring key moments of policing history to life. Each section reveals a different chapter – from early investigative techniques to the development of modern policing. Along the way, you’ll find information panels, rare photographs, and personal accounts that highlight the challenges and triumphs of officers throughout the years. Uniforms, badges, equipment, and artifacts from various eras showcase how policing has changed while preserving the traditions that shaped it.
Throughout the tour, there are plenty of opportunities to take photographs – whether you’re capturing the grandeur of the courtroom, the charm of the historic building, or the unique displays that line the corridors. It’s a space designed not just to inform, but to spark curiosity and invite visitors to connect with the past.
Groups of 12 – each tour takes up to 35 minutes. Note there are steps and some uneven surfaces so some areas are not accessible to people with limited mobility.
As there is a limited number of places available for each guided tour of approximately 35 minutes, free tickets must be booked online.
