"Plunge" into one of Cedar Hill’s "coolest" traditions! ❄️ Join the City of Cedar Hill for the annual Polar Plunge Fun Run, benefiting Special Olympics Texas.New for 2026, this event is expanding with the addition of Cedar Hill’s first ever Torch Run. 👟🔥 This 1.3 mile fun run begins in Historic Downtown (300 Houston St.) and finishes at the Lagoon, leading directly into the Polar Plunge. Participants can choose to run, take the plunge, or both.
Attendees will also enjoy a hot chocolate bar, a costume contest, and prizes for the oldest and youngest plunger; making it fun for all ages. ☕🏆
Torch Run participants will receive a Torch Run shirt, and those who participate in both the Torch Run and the Polar Plunge will receive a Torch Run shirt and a Polar Plunge towel.
With multiple ways to participate and all proceeds supporting Special Olympics Texas, this family-friendly event is a great way to give back and have fun while doing it.

⏰ Torch Run begins at 1:00 p.m. and Polar Plunge is at 2:00 p.m.
📍The Lagoon at Virginia Weaver Park, 631 Somerset Dr. Cedar Hill, TX 75104 (Torch Run participants can park at the Lagoon and take a free shuttle to the race starting line. After the run, shuttles will return participants to the Lagoon for the plunge or to their vehicles if they are not plunging).
