Pokémon GO Fest Global is a special event in Pokémon GO where Trainers from all around the world can participate in unique challenges and activities. It's a global celebration of the game!The event takes place in 3 major cities before it goes global. Japan, Spain and New York City.
We will group in Garema place.
70 Pokémon will appear during the event, plus special costumed Pokémon, bonuses and more. Trainers can participate in this global event at no cost from anywhere in the world! You can also upgrade your experience with an event ticket, available now via the in-game shop or the Pokémon GO Web Store. Trainers with an event ticket will receive special bonuses and rewards, including an encounter with the Mythical Pokémon Marshadow! With increased shiny chances on all Pokémon. For all Trainers, special Pokémon will appear in four unique habitats, which will rotate hourly during the event!
During each habitat hour on Saturday, ticket-holding Trainers around the world will be able to work together to complete a challenge! If the challenge is completed in time, a special bonus will be unlocked for the remainder of the hour for ticketed Trainers!
Everyone attending the meet up have to check into the event themselves. It's geofenced so when they're within range of the event they can check in on the campfire app. If you have an active Campfire group with regular local events you can apply to Niantic to be a community ambassador. They will then essentially sponsor your group with regular free codes for raid passes and other such things you can hand out at events. In order to prove we can do this we need to get people to check in when they arrive at events through Campfire, not just RSVP beforehand. Don’t forget to check into the event!
Ambassador status gives us 150 codes for free stuff to hand out every month and also I think 15 team bracelets (3x5 for each team) they will be great for IRL showcase competitions, etc.
Also if we take intermittent group photos to prove the group is active then more likely niantic will sponsor our Canberra events. That is the goal here. 💪
