Learn or brush up on techniques in photography with this hands-on two-week course! In the first week, local photographer and The Weekly editor Amanda Rose will introduce participants to different photographic techniques before walking over to the Amstel House for an on-site photography excursion. (The walk is short, but the weather lately has been extreme, and the sidewalks can be treacherous for some — be sure to dress appropriately!) In week two, the group will return to the New Castle Public Library where Amanda will give an overview of different editing approaches and techniques, with the ultimate goal of patrons' works to be displayed in an upcoming gallery at the Amstel House.
Space is extremely limited, so registration is required. Participants will want to have their own digital device for taking photos, whether it be a camera or a smartphone. Photographers from all ranges from novice to expert are welcome.
