About this Event

Pohela Boishakh is the first day of the Bangla Calendar, celebrated with a festival of color and joy. The day brings together people from different ethnic-religious backgrounds to welcome the new year with a new hope of enthusiasm and prosperity. We, as Bengali, are proud to show all over the world being festive on the day get enlightened by her heritage, cultural identity, and glorious nationalism.

Unlike other Years, the Bangladesh Students Association of The City College of New York is organizing an event to celebrate this year's "Pohela Boishakh."

Place: Joya Hall, Located at 63-108 Woodhaven Blvd, Flushing, NY 11374

Date and Time: March 27, Sunday from 12pm-5pm.

Dress code: Red/white or any colorful Saree, Salwar kameez (Women)

Red/white or any colorful Panjabi (Men)

Entrance Fee: $30

Come out to see this beautiful event filled with cultural performances, delicious Bangladeshi foods, and games. It will be an amazing, unforgettable day for each one of us.
