About this Event
Come to Pogo Park’s Design Studio (located at 23 9th Street in Richmond) sign in, and take a bus and walking tour of Pogo Park’s three project sites:
- Elm Playlot (Pogo Park #1)
- Harbour-8 Park (Pogo Park #2)
- Yellow Brick Road®
After the Tour, we will return to 23 9th Street to mix and mingle with others, and enjoy a sumptuous sit down lunch. After lunch, we will have a question-answer session and share the multiple ways to support Pogo Park’s “Close the Gap” campaign to complete the construction of Harbour-8 Park.
The duration of the Foundation Tour & Luncheon is three hours.
WHERE TO PARK
Street parking near 23 9th Street is available but often limited. A better option is to park on Ohio Avenue, just west of Harbour Way.
- After parking, walk back to Harbour Way and turn left (north).
- Continue walking north to the Richmond Greenway, located about half a block away.
- Turn left (west) onto the Greenway, walk one short block to 9th Street (where the bioswale and Peace Totem is located), and turn right.
- Pogo Park’s Design Studio is in a large blue warehouse at 23 9th Street, three doors from the Greenway.
WHAT TO WEAR
- Wear comfortable, sturdy shoes suitable for walking in a park, navigating a construction site, and getting on and off a bus.
- Bring a warm jacket—Pogo Park’s Design Studio is a metal building with NO heat. So bring layers and/or a down jacket and a wool hat to stay warm!
