Cynefin is a Welsh word that defies direct translation. It describes the experience of belonging - to our physical locality, family and community (both cultural and spiritual). As a felt reality that slips the net of easy definition, cynefin is well-suited to an approach from a poetic angle. In this interactive workshop, we will explore facets of belonging and identity, drawing particularly on the work of Welsh poets. There will be the opportunity for poetry created here to contribute to Welsh poet Jonathan Edwards’ poetry reading on the eve of St David’s Day, 28 February, in Chester Cathedral Refectory, at 6pm. (Participation in this workshop includes 1 free ticket to the event on 28 February)
This workshop includes a breakfast bap and light refreshments.
