Alexander Payne Morgan
Alexander Payne Morgan was born in Savannah, Georgia. His poems have been published in The MacGuffin, Crack The Spine, Dunes Review, and The Dead Mule School of Southern Literature, among others. He was awarded the 2016 Kay Murphy Prize for Poetry by Bayou Magazine and the 2016 Detroit Working Writers MacGuffin Poetry Prize. He’s a member of Detroit Working Writers, Detroit Writers’ Guild, Michigan Writers, the Poetry Society of Michigan, and Springfed Arts. He is a retired industrial mathematician.
Mary Jo Firth Gillett
Mary Jo Firth Gillett received a Master of Fine Arts in Poetry from Vermont College. Her work has appeared in the Gettysburg Review, Harvard Review, Michigan Quarterly Review, Third Coast, The MacGuffin, and many other important literary journals. She’s won the New York Open Voice Award, and co-edited the anthology Mona Poetica with Diane Shipley DeCillis. For the past 7 years Gillett has taught advanced poetry workshops for Springfed Arts-Metro Detroit Writers. Her first book, Soluble Fish, won the Crab Orchard Series in Poetry First Book Award for 2007.
Caroline Maun
Caroline Maun teaches creative writing and American literature. She is the editor of "The Collected Poetry of Evelyn Scott" and author of "Mosaic of Fire: The Work of Lola Ridge, Evelyn Scott, Charlotte Wilder, and Kay Boyle." Her poetry publications include the volumes "The Sleeping, What Remains" and three chapbooks, "Cures and Poisons and Greatest Hits," with Pudding House Press, and "Accident," with Alice Greene & Co. Her poetry has appeared in "The Bear River Review, Third Wednesday, Peninsula Poets," and "Eleven Eleven." She served as Director of Graduate Studies in English from 2014-2018 and as Chairperson of the English Department from 2018-2024
