About this Event
During this session we will be looking at ‘Haiku’ poetry and experimenting with writing them ourselves. I’ve called this session ‘learning to walk’ because walking requires us to slow down and move at a different pace.
Haiku’s a form of poetry where you are only allowed to use limited amounts of words and so encourage us to think about each one carefully to really harness what we are trying to say. In a world of lots and lots of words, this gives us the opportunity to consider ‘less is more’.
During this session we will:
- Learn and practice using writing disciplines
- Learn and practice exercises that enable creativity
- Learn about the ‘haiku’ form of poetry
No previous writing experience required!
