Join us for two powerhouse poets, Lennie Hay and Pat Owen. Lennie Hay’s debut collection Lost in America chronicles the pain and joy of navigating life in America as the daughter of an immigrant Chinese father and German mother. Using the lens of ambiguous personal identity, the narrator confronts various societal fault lines: language, culture, privilege and exclusion, lies and truth-telling, home and rootlessness, youth and aging.
Pat Owen’s work has appeared in The Louisville Review, the Gulf Stream Literary Magazine and the anthologies This Wretched Vessel, & Grace, and The Messenger Is Sudden Thunder. She was a finalist in the Atlantic Review International Poetry Competition. Her debut poetry collection, Crossing the Sky Bridge was published by Larkspur Press. Her second collection Orion’s Belt at the End of the Drive was published by Accents Publishing
