MANCHESTER, NH – On Thursday, December 4th, 2025, Slam Free Or Die - Poetry Open Mic & Slam continues its popular open mic poetry series at Stark Brewing Company. This week, there will be a shortened open mic followed by a poetry slam to confirm which finalists will represent Slam Free or Die in 2026!!! Doors open at 7 pm per usual, but since it will be a long night, we are starting the show at 7:30 pm. There is a $3-$5 sliding scale cover and this is an all-ages show. About the Slam:
Our ten finalists will compete against in three full rounds, no eliminations. Competing poets should come with THREE prepared pieces, with all of them being 3 minutes or under. Traditional slam rules apply; no props or musical accompaniment of any kind is allowed. Any poem going over 3:10 loses 0.5 points for every 10 seconds over the time limit.
About Slam Free Or Die - Poetry Open Mic & Slam:
Slam Free Or Die @ Stark Brewing Company is a series of open mic nights for poets and spoken-word artists every Thursday night in Manchester, NH. There is an open mic every night and poetry slams are also held several times a month. Doors open and sign-ups begin at 7 pm with open mic beginning at 8 pm. Featured poets and slams follows the open mic. Come and enjoy the delicious food and beverages at Stark Brewing Company! There is a $3-$5 sliding scale cover charge.
