Nathanael Larochette is an Ottawa based guitarist, composer, spoken word poet, arts educator and founding member of the chamber folk trio Musk Ox and the adventure groove trio Archivers. He has represented Ottawa at the Canadian Festival of Spoken Word and the Canadian Individual Poetry Slam Championships and was the festival director for the 2010 Canadian Festival of Spoken Word. Nathanael has been facilitating spoken word workshops in Ottawa schools for nearly 20 years and was the recipient of the 2023 Ontario Arts Foundation's Artist Educator of the Year Award. He is currently working on his debut one-person show "Heavy Metal Nerd" and had to put that in this bio because he is slacking and hopefully telling you all about it will push him to finish it. Nathanael lives to create hope and dream for he believes these are the keys to the meaning of our being.
