Our second Poetry Jam of the year offers another opportunity to celebrate the written art form of poetry and its important role in documenting our culture. Poetry has historically been used to convey emotions and thoughts on events and causes that writers feel strongly about. On Friday, Sept. 27th at 7pm, you can participate or enjoy the creative stylings of local writers as they tell stories, and share memories, emotions or events in a way only made possible through the artistic lens of poetry. Preregistration is required. If you would like to recite a poem at the event, whether it is their original work or someone else's, you can either send them to [email protected] or bring a physical copy the day of the event to be reviewed for explicit content and language. Poetry related to our local history is encouraged but not required. Open to all Poets.
