Author of six chapbooks, Isabella J Mansfield (she/her) is an award-winning and internationally acclaimed poet. Known as much for her charismatic and powerful poetry readings as she is her deeply personal poems, Mansfield's work shines a light on depression and anxiety, intimacy, grief, physical and mental health, and disability issues. A three-time Pushcart Prize nominee, three-time Best of the Net Nominee, Write Bloody McCarthy Prize Honorable Mention, and Ritzenhein Emerging Author Award Winner, Isabella is always looking for ways to bring a little humor into her poetry, and is almost never sorry to make you cry. She lives in Howell with her husband and son.
Amba Elieff has written poetry most of her life, however, she began seriously writing during college at Miami University Oxford. She graduated with a Bachelors in English and worked within the corporate world for 25 years. During that time, she also got married, had children, and got divorced and the writing became a hobby. After being laid off from her corporate job, she decided to pursue her actual passions. She went back to school, started a new career and started writing and publishing on social media. Her first book, Maiden Mother Crone, was released in 2022. Domesticated Demons released in 2023, and her third book Naked and Healing released in 2024. Her fourth book Voices will be out later this year. After living 50 years in Ohio, she now lives in Kentucky with her husband and one dog. She looks forward to returning to Ohio when she and her husband retire in a few years.
Dennis Hinrichsen's most recent book is Dominion + Selected Poems from Green Linden Press. He lives in Lansing where from 2017-2019 he served as the area's first Poet Laureate.
Sarah Carson's poetry and other writing have appeared in The Rumpus, The Slowdown, Guernica, The Missouri Review, and The Christian Century, among others. She is the author of three full-length collections of poetry, including How to Baptize a Child in Flint, Michigan. She has been a recipient of and finalist for grants and fellowships from Tin House, the Poetry Foundation, the Martha's Vineyard Institute for Creative Writing, and the Michigan and Illinois Arts Councils. Born in Flint, she now lives in East Lansing, where she is at work on a memoir about single motherhood, work, and the rules that govern the universe.
