Headline Poet Gary the Hat:
"Since he started performing Gary has headlined various events in the North East and beyond. He has appeared at Lindisfarne Festival in Northumberland and Hockley Hustle in Nottingham. His work deals with authentic lived experiences and observations about the political, social and existential. Honest and straightforward with a splashing of humour, Gary is also responsible for Poetical Outlaws, a spoken word & music night held at Diego's Joint in Sunderland".
Feature Poet Kia Went:
"Kia is a neurodiverse writer and educator. Between keeping her three-year-old daughter from accidentally launching herself into orbit, running a neuro-affirming education business and pursuing a Master's in Creative Writing, she somehow finds time to create safe spaces for neurodiverse women to unleash their inner writers.
Kia’s poetry explores themes of motherwound, motherhood, neurodivergence, relationships, and identity. This year, she has been published by Beyond the Spectrum, Milton Keynes Literary Festival, and Poetic Edge".
