Beautiful poetry people, lets gather once more for an extra special Poetry Platform!This month's Poetry Platform is an official part of Winchester Poetry Festival and we will be celebrating with an introduction to the festival, an extra special guest and a lot of open mic magic!
It's sign up from 7.30, as usual, and get there nice and prompt if you want your name on the list. We'll kick things off at 8 and at the end of the first half we will have our guest poet Hilary Davies!
Hilary Davies will be reading from her fifth collection, Compass Light (Renard Press). She is a former Chairman of the Poetry Society, and has been an RLF Fellow at King’s College, London and the British Library. In 2023 she was shortlisted for the Michael Marks Environmental Poet of the Year award.
Once Hilary has had her slot we will have more Poetry Open Mic.
It's going to be a fantastic evening of language and fun, it's free and it's a welcoming warm space audiences and performers old and new.
