Mona Fertig is a poet, publisher, and editor. She is the founder of The Literary Storefront, Canada’s first literary centre, and Mother Tongue Publishing. Her books and many chapbooks, include 'Mouth for Music', 'Sex', 'Death & Travel', and 'The Unsettled'. She was a founding member of the Feminist Caucus of the League of Canadian Poets, The Federation of BC Writers, and the BC Book Prizes. In 2016 the Vancouver Public Library made her a Literary Landmark, with a plaque on a lamppost in Gastown. She has lived on Salt Spring Island for over 34 years with her husband Peter Haase.
