Poetry on Tea Leaves is a black, brown, and queer open mic.
We read poetry, write, discuss, and perform our own prose.
Led by our co-hosts , local authors and performers, Ayjshane and Raphaella the Swan.
We will start by reading, marinating on, and discussing work from a talented poet. During the session we will write about what inspires us, then we lite up the mic.
The setting of this event is inside West China Tea House. We will be sitting on floor pillows (other seating is available as well ) sharing tea, writing, and discussing. This is an ego free zone. We sit together on the same level.
Please come with an open mind and heart.
All are welcome.
