Presenting new works by our featured local artists. At 6:00 pm MST we will begin a poetry reading by Nicholas Kirsten-Honshin, whose art is a mythic amalgamation of ancient healing practices and present trends in spirituality, science, and nature.
This month’s First Friday event is about ancient dzi beads and symbolic paintings. Both visual and auditory art will guide us as we explore dzi beads – agate beads mainly from Tibet and ancient Sumeria. Tibetans revere dzi as benevolent nature deities. They believed the beads oversaw both celestial and earthly realms with great reverence, and their dzi beads played a key role in the exchange between these two realms. Through these ancient beads, the bond between us humans, the natural realm, and the spiritual realm remains sustained.
Join us for poetry, music, food, and wine in the gallery from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM MST.
Free admission, limited seating.
