Poetry Hike

Join writer, teaching artist and yoga instructor Kristen Zory King on a poetry hike through Rock Creek Park and experience the joy of creativity in motion. Together, we'll wander through two and a half (ish) miles of winding trails, stopping frequently to share poems with one another as well as to spend time in creative reflection and journaling. This month, we'll explore poems of love and caretaking. Bring comfortable clothing, your favorite poem (or two! or three!) to share, and a notebook to jot down inspiration from the trees, the sky, and one another.

We will meet at Ellē in Mt. Pleasant and then head to the Rock Creek Park entrance off of 17th St. NW. Kris will be in touch ahead of time with more details, including rain date if applicable. Please note: there are a few steep hills and challenges on the the trail. Tickets are $20 with a pay-what-you-can option available to all. Ticket transfers available but refunds are not available at this time.
