Calling all poets, scribblers, daydreamers and writers. Join us for a relaxed and inspiring session on National Poetry Day at our pop-up Poetry Café!Led by a local, friendly, experienced workshop leader, and author, Molly White, The People’s Poetry is an accessible and inclusive creative writing session for adults. Whether you’ve never written a poem before, you’re returning to writing after a break or you’re wanting a little extra support and guidance with your craft, you’re warmly invited to come along, grab a coffee, and let the words flow.
The session will start at 11am with a gentle introduction to the theme, followed by a chance to explore a selection of poems and writing prompts. You’ll be supported in having a go at your own writing, trying varied poetic styles or embracing a totally free-form writing approach – whichever suits you best. Afterwards, feel free to settle in with a cuppa or some lunch from the café as you write following the workshop leader led section of the event.
Come and enjoy a welcoming, no-pressure space to get creative with words.
