Discussion starts at 3:00--refreshments at 2:30!Join us for a poetry book discussion and the opportunity to share your own poetic response when Poetry in the Boro team member Nick Bush leads a community discussion of Rudy Francisco’s poetry collection Excuse Me As I Kiss the Sky from Button Poetry (also available from your favorite bookseller). Because Francisco is a well-known and award-winning spoken word poet who also publishes, we thought he was a good choice for the wide range of styles that our community encompasses. Thanks to the Bloom Stage for partnering with us on this event!
Join us at the Technology Engagement Center, 306 Minerva Drive in Murfreesboro.

3:00 PM Discussion
After about an hour of discussion, we’ll take a final half hour for participants to share, if desired, poems they’ve written in response to any poem in Francisco’s book.
If you can’t afford to purchase a copy–or find the book at the library–please let us know at [email protected]. We can help!
Poetry in the Boro thanks MTSU Write and the Rutherford Arts Alliance for their on-going partnerships and support. This event is not sponsored or endorsed by the TEC/Rutherford County Library System.
