Please join us for a night poetry and music to honor and uplift Sister Faye Williams, Sunday, February 15th, from 5-8pm at The Bull in downtown Gainesville. Faye Williams is a lifelong organizer and freedom fighter for affordable housing, universal health care, voter education and registration, and action on environmental issues and climate change. Let’s lift her up and give back to this woman who has given so much to help build a stronger, more resilient, more peaceful and sustainable community.
This event is the first in a series of three. This first benefit will feature all male poets and musicians. The next in the series, to take place later this spring, will feature all women performers. The third event will feature all of the performers from the first two coming together for a powerful night of spoken word, drumming, singing and more to celebrate our community and support our beloved elder, Sister Faye.
