What is Poetic Parley?

A curated poetic performance by Assia Lau'ren, where words come alive and conversation flows in a cozy intimate space. This show aims to accommodate a small audience of 20 people. Poetry is presented as questions to prompt group discussions on the topics of love, boundaries, lessons, self, and relationships of every kind. In this space everyone is a collaborator, an artist, a teacher, and a student.

Event Cover Explained:

Beyonce's COWBOY CARTER TOUR starts this month, so in honor of I wanted to lean into her generational-trauma-lifting album! The entire album is spectacular, not one song misses, but that's normal for our Queen. SWEET*HONEY*BUCKIN' is one of my many favorites from her Grammy-Winning album (Album of the Year + Country Album of the Year) whew girl! This song is literally three-in-one as the title conveys, and in my opinion, it's unapologetic, and that's what I want to lean into for this show!
