This free event highlights the voices shaping Black literature and creating spaces for connection. Enjoy a dynamic panel discussion, inspiring performances, and the opportunity to engage with the poets directly.

Educator, poet, community organizer, and curator of Mocha Mic with Millie, a monthly open mic uplifting Black creatives and fostering unity through art and expression.

- James C. Ellerbe: Renowned poet and spoken word artist featured on BET and Showtime at the Apollo. Author of Beyond the Event Horizon and Pulsar, with performances at iconic venues worldwide and accolades including Indie Author Legacy Award finalist.
- Ameerah Shabazz-Bilal: Award-winning poet, artist, and educator. Founder of When Women Speak and When People Speak. Author of Breathing Through Concrete, with international performances and a dedication to elevating diverse cultural narratives.
- Marc W. Polite: Harlem-born poet, essayist, and award-winning author of Poetic Ruminations of Mr. Born Nice. A social commentator featured in The Amsterdam News, Marc is committed to inspiring the next generation of poets.
