'The word' is an incredibly powerful medium. It can help us transport our thoughts and feelings into reality. And when we know how to access this medium, we can feel less stuck, more grounded and more free.This workshop is for you if you want to open up the channels of writing and speaking. If you want to enhance your expression through poetry. Whether you call yourself a writer, poet or spoken word artist - or not.
With, but mostly past the rules and conventions of language and literature, we're going to engage in explorative exercises, play, unfiltered writing, and embodied speaking. In an intimate setting, you'll work both individually and in groups. Along the way, I'll also share from my own experience as a poet and spoken word artist.
I won't teach you how to be a poet. I believe no one can. Instead, I'm here to share with you. Guide you. Challenge you. To help you strengthen your own unique expression with words.

Our senses shape our unique perception of reality. They influence our thoughts and feelings, feeding our expression. How can we be more mindful of this influence? How can words enrich our understanding of our sensations? And how can we use our senses to strengthen our expression with words? This first session we'll explore the answers through both writing and speech.

- Bring your own booklet/notepad and pen.
- I'll host the workshop in English, unless everyone speaks Dutch. You're free to write and speak in any language you want :)
- The venue is wheelchair accessible. The toilets unfortunately are not.
