About this Event
You’re invited to be part of the LIVE studio audience for the National Edgar Allan Poe Theatre’s audio drama adaptation of “The Purloined Letter”! Registration is required as space in this program is limited.
Come hear live voice actors bring to life the third and final story in Edgar Allan Poe’s Auguste Dupin mysteries as a radio drama! Dupin and his assistant help the Paris police find a stolen
letter, being used for blackmail at the highest levels of French government. The radio drama will feature original musical underscore and sound effects to create a “theatre of the mind” experience for listeners.
The Purloined Letter script was written and directed by Alex Zavistovich.
This event is being held in partnership with the National Edgar Allan Poe Theatre, the only theatre in the world dedicated to bringing Poe’s works to life onstage, on the air, and in the
classroom in Baltimore and beyond. Their Poe Theatre on the Air audio dramas have won awards of excellence from the Hear Now Festival and an award for Best Adaptation from The International Edgar Allan Poe Festival. There are two seatings for performances: The first at 11 AM, and the second at 2:30 PM.
