About this Event
The Poderosas Legislative Summit, powered by Poder Latinx, brings together Latinas Poderosas from across the country to celebrate and build upon our collective service to the Latinx community. From members of Congress to administration officials and emerging and established civic and social justice Latina leaders, the Poderosas Legislative Summit creates a space where bright, empowered Latinas can convene and support each other to continue to be trailblazers in their fields.
At our third annual action-oriented summit, we will discuss key issues surrounding the environment, immigration, and the economy and how they are impacting the lives of the Latinx community. We will build on the momentum of the Latina community, a growing and changing demographic with the energy and passion to make change for our communities when given the proper tools and information to be civically engaged. We will examine the barriers to civic participation in the face of the 2024 Presidential election and train young Latinas to become agents of change, committing to impactful actions and transformative change beyond the moment.
Together, we are creating opportunities for Latina youth and young adults to learn and lead in the civic engagement space, share their lived experiences, connect with community leaders and elected officials from key states, and address the existing gaps preventing our community from achieving its full potential.
