About this Event
In this 1-day course, you will learn about equipment calibration, safe pesticide application, interpreting pesticide labels, and interacting with customers through a combination of classroom and field work. You will also learn about the most common weeds, insects and diseases in southeastern landscapes from experts in the field. Please make sure that the attendee’s email address directly tied to that person at registration. Not the office email address. Assessments will be delivered to the student directly using the student’s email address.
This course is designed to provide an overview of the critical elements for doing L&O pest management. Many different products are used to maintain healthy plants and turf, thus we focus on understanding the label, applications according to the label, equipment calibration, PPE and safety, including cleaning up spills.
