PMQ and Japan Graphic Design Association (JAGDA) are once again collaborating to host the Graphic Design in Japan 2022 (Hong Kong Edition) exhibition from May 25 to June 11 2023. This is the only exhibition outside of Japan that showcases more than 300 featured design works from the JAGDA Yearbook including winning works from the 24th Yusaku Kamekura Design Award JAGDA Awards 2022 and JAGDA New Designer Awards 2022. Along with the exhibition there will be a range of events including several design dialogues led by JAGDA representative and various cross-disciplinary designers from Hong Kong. These events aim to allow the public to not only appreciate excellent graphic designs but also participate and learn about the trends in graphic design around the world. All events are offered free of charge to the public.
In addition to the design exhibition there will also be a series of rich and exciting activities held during the event such as designer-led guided tours small-scale graphic design workshops and sharing sessions by cross-disciplinary designers. On May 27 JAGDA’s representative Ryuhei Nakadai will share his insights on "The Composition of Design" with Keith Tam Head of Department Communication Design of Hong Kong Design Institute (HKDI). The sharing aims to exchange ideas in the field of graphic design between Hong Kong and Japan.
