Clothing Swap FAQ:
What time should I arrive to drop clothes? Clothing drop off will be between 1pm-2pm
What time should I arrive to get clothes? Anytime between 1pm-3pm
What can I bring? We welcome all gently used clothing in wearable condition (no holes or stains), including coats, bathing suits, shoes, accessories, handbags, and gear. Please note that underwear is not accepted, and we are specifically looking for items in size 14+/1X+ range.
How much can I bring? As much as you like.
Drop-off/Participation? You are welcome to drop off items without taking anything, and you can also attend without bringing items to swap. Please note that drop-offs will only be accepted during the event itself - we cannot accommodate early drop-offs. Many of our participants are generously bringing extra items to share with the community.
Are items sorted by size? Yes, clothing will be organized by size to make browsing easier.
Is there a fitting room? Yes, we will have a private area to try on clothing but suggest you wear a tank top and leggings so that you can try on your clothing over your base layers to avoid a large line at the try on area.
Are there mirrors available? Yes, we will provide two full length mirrors for sharing.
What if something doesn't fit when I get home? All swaps are final, but you're welcome to bring items to the next swap event or donate them.
What happens to leftover items? We will be taking as much as we can to Bougie on a Budget as the women’s shelter gives vouchers out for this store.
Accessibility? There is a ramp entrance and it is on the ground floor.
Anything else? Paper bags will be available at the event, though we encourage you to bring your own reusable bags if possible. Items will be displayed on tables, so there's no need to bring hangers.
