Plot 22 presents is back with another legend in the world of British dance music, DAVE HASLAM (The Haçienda); we are absolutely buzzing to have the acclaimed author and DJ spinning an extended 3 hour set for you.
We return to a 'back to basics' format, inviting a legend of the wider scene, supported by a legend of our local scene, both playing what are now considered to be 'extended sets' with no parameters or genre restrictions.
This is one for the heads, the movers and the groovers!
SPINNING FOR YOU ON THE NIGHT DAVE HASLAM (THE HAÇIENDA)DJ and writer Dave Haslam DJ’d over 450 times at the legendary Haçienda in Manchesterduring the late 1980s. He made his debut at the Haçienda on May 1st 1986; JustinRobertson, Tim Burgess, Laurent Garnier, and the Chemical Brothers all later credited hissets as an inspiration
In 1990 he played Spike Island with the Stone Roses and took part in aHaçienda tour of the USA. Since then he’s DJ’d worldwide - from Peru to Berlin, and Ibiza toDetroit - and played afterparties for New Order, Depeche Mode, and Gorillaz. Recently, hisgigs also include; Kendal Calling, Parma (Italy), the legendary Golden Lion in Todmorden,and a residency in Paris. He describes his DJing philosophy as “playing the best records evermade one after the other”. Expect a joyful, eclectic, quality selection.
ANDY H (THE TUESDAY CLUB)Having held it down as resident at The Tuesday Club for what seems like forever, Andy H has a proven track-record of selecting just the right tune at just the right time in his sets, having both warmed up for, and taken over from, countless acts from across the spectrum of dance music. Known for his eclectic and tasteful selection and impeccable mixing, Andy was a natural choice for this show. He's thrown it down for us at many events over the years and it will be a pleasure having him back in the plot for this one!
