Come out and experience the joy of painting in oil in your local park. Beginners and seasoned painters are welcome. We will be practicing the skills of the tonalism painters from 1880 in particular the artists George Inness and James Whistler. Participants will work alongside the instructor as we use value, placement, color mixing, visual texture, and artistic license in capturing the scene that is in front of us with oil paint. She will be discussing the fun and challenges of outdoor painting. Demonstrations and visual examples will be shared along with personal experiences. Meet at Shelter 6 by Mirror Lake. Fee: $25, all supplies provided.
