After teaching online with the MAC’s "Explore your Inner Creative" series all winter long from her home on Cape Cod, Susan Overstreet makes the journey to Milford for an exciting in-person, full day mini-retreat for plein air painting in a beautiful setting, unique to Milford.The selected site allows the painter to choose views that include mature trees, reflective water, and historic architecture. This opportunity is for individuals who want to learn the unique aspects of plein air painting (using oils or acrylic) with some painting experience. Receive constructive feedback, experiment with color palette, dust-off skills, and develop new ones. *This is not a beginner course.
Meet Susan at the MAC 40 Railroad Avenue Milford, CT for a safe, socially distanced, interactive day of instruction. Susan will demonstrate each phase of painting en plein air including the original concept, deciding on composition, editing and abstracting, blocking in color and finishing a harmonized piece. Aerial and linear perspective, measuring and editing will be discussed throughout the demonstration.
