Our free outdoor celebration of music returns to Olympic Plaza this August - Arts Commons Presents Plaza for All, a free concert with iconic Canadian country band Emerson Drive and local rising star Kyle McKearney.Over the span of their nearly three-decade long career Emerson Drive have won over audiences with their mesmerizing harmonies and heartfelt lyrics. With 22 Top 10 hits, twice recognized as Best Group of the Year from the Canadian Country Music Association, and countless other awards and nominations, catch these homegrown heroes at the final stop on their farewell tour. This is the last chance to hear radio mainstays “Moments” and recent Billboard Canada Top 10 hit “Just Got Paid” live, and under the wide-open sky at Olympic Plaza.
This isn’t just a farewell tour for Emerson Drive either, Plaza for All is a farewell send-off for Olympic Plaza as Arts Commons begins reimagining this space with Calgary — two Alberta landmarks in arts and culture setting the stage for a new chapter together.
