PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS A TWO PART TRAINING. BOTH parts must be completed to earn full credit.

PART ONE IS VIRTUAL on Feb. 24, 5:30-8:30pm

PART TWO IS A FACE TO FACE SKILLS TEST- DATE TBD at:

Outdoor play encourages movement and physical activity that is stimulating for children’s development and learning. The Playground safety training addresses playground safety hazards, playground supervision, maintenance, general upkeep of the outdoor area, and age and developmentally appropriate playground equipment. This training offers a practical and educational interpretation of the North Carolina Child Care Commission’s playground safety rules and how to conduct a playground audit.

Please note: Participating in training while in the classroom may be violation of child care licensing rules. We encourage all participants to arrange to be relieved from child staff ratio to be fully present in the training. Active participation during the live event is required to receive DCDEE credit for this class.

No refunds unless the class is canceled by AACF.

All participants in the training need to register with their email addresses. If your Center Director is paying that is acceptable, but for pre/post reasons please sign up with your email.

This event is designed to be an interactive experience and requires full participation including dialogue response and virtual tools during the slide presentation. Participants should choose electronic devices that allow them to see, hear and participate in the full event. Smartphone and tablet apps may be limited in their functionality and compatibility with this learning platform. Credit for the course will not be given to participants that are not actively participating through the dialogue/chat boxes and interactive tools.

Technology required:

•Computer with internet connection

• Computer with audio/ability to watch & listen to a video online

• Keyboard/mouse (laptop with mouse pad)

• Telephone or computer with microphone and speakers

• Attendees can join Zoom from a Mac, PC, iPad, iPhone or Android device

Certificates will be emailed to participants after the session IF they are in the meeting the entire time and actively participated throughout. If you do not have a printer, your certificate will be mailed to you.
