Note: Temporary venue change due to change of management at Shakespeare's which lost our booking in the transition (we will be back there for October).Fabulous tunes and energetic dances from the seventeenth-century onwards. The eccentric grandparent of ceilidh and contra dancing!
Dancers, callers, musicians and beginners at all of these things welcome.
Dances are called gender free and callers enthusiastically welcomed. If you are a new caller and would like some support with calling a dance please get in touch with Daisy.
All the dances are taught from scratch and sheet music is provided for those who like to read it (playing by ear is also fine).
Please don't come if you are not feeling well. Covid and other nasty flu cases seem to be prevalent again (sigh), so testing is very much encouraged!
VENUE: New Barrack Tavern..
The nearest tram stop is Bamforth Street (then a 5 min walk). There are several buses along that route.
