About this Event

Queer joy time!! This silly workshop is designed for us as a community to come together to connect, play, and dive deeper into the depths of our queerness. We will be guided through a series of improv games and moments of reflection to help us embrace our creativity and explore our unique and shared stories in a supportive, affirming space. All you need to bring is your lived experience, your curiosity, and your sweet, goofy self!

At Kaleidoscope Training Center, we know that the most effective learning experiences are rooted in playfulness. Our training programs integrate the principles of improvisation to develop invaluable skills such as effective communication, resilience, creativity and connection, both in personal and professional settings. Agenda
Introductions

Info: We'll introduce ourselves, each other, and start getting our energy up with a quick and easy name-game.

Warm Up and Guidelines

Info: We'll play one or two games to get us settled in. We'll go over some principles of play, and establish some co-created guidelines for safety and participation.

Playtime!

Info: We'll do some games together as a big group, or in small breakouts. Our focus will be on getting goofy and uplifting one another.

Discussion

Info:
Between each round of games, we'll chat about what we're noticing, how we're feeling, and what we might be able to take back into our relationships and everyday lives

Closing

Info: We'll wrap up with a conversation about some of our takeaways, giving snaps to our favorite moments from the class, and bringing up any feedback for the facilitators. There will be an opportunity to provide feedback about the class, and to connect with one another afterward.
