Calling all Albert County poets and Creative Writers!!
Do you enjoy the playful and artistic side of language? Are you a seasoned (or closet) creative writer or a poet who has been wondering how and when you might have the opportunity to share your original work, or the work of a favored Classical Bard or Modern Poet with a receptive and friendly audience of fellow amateur (and professional) penfolk in a welcoming space rich with history, and a warm and casual elegance that will inspire even the most shy or rusty of speakers...? Wonder no more! Moonbrook Manor is hosting an evening of poetry readings and the spoken word, and we invite all who are creative writers of short works and poetry of all genres to join us. Come and share your literary work in a small and intimate setting, or simply come to listen to some of the many talented poets and writers we have in our beautiful village sharing pieces of their own original creation, or meaningful personal favorites that uplift, inspire and awaken.
The evening will be comprised of two halves, the first a planned set of a few local writers sharing some original works. This will be followed by a brief intermission with cash bar, and then a second half where people will be invited to get up and read or recite in an "open mic" style set. There will be a sign-up sheet at the door, and first come/first served seating is limited to 25
